Hate group webcast reminder
Southern Poverty Law Center

March 2, 2011

Dear friend,

In just a few hours, SPLC President Richard Cohen and SPLC Intelligence Project Director Mark Potok will conduct a live audio webcast—a 30-minute audio chat—to discuss our recently released annual count of hate and extremist groups.

The number of active hate groups in the United States topped 1,000 for the first time and the antigovernment "Patriot" movement expanded dramatically for the second straight year as the radical right showed continued explosive growth in 2010.

Richard and Mark will accept questions before and during the webcast.
