I've shared some items with you |
Hi Tarn, There is a lot more material here than you are likely to read -- but most of the following documents or links include attempts to describe the information sharing network that Barrett proposes: Video: Barrett Brown uses white-board to discuss the Project PM schematic: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6wl88VHg_UA This is Barrett's most detailed description of the network. The first attempt to describe the network in writing was the document "Widget Functional Requirements" which was written by me and revised by Scott, who is not currently active in the project but may rejoin later. An attempt to describe the network in extremely simple terms was the slide show called "Project PM Presentation" A later attempt to describe the network is the document "Network functional capability requirements," mainly written by Scott and me. In this description we dropped the notion of a server-less network and removed specifications that would be better addressed by programmers. Sundeep subsequently joined the project and wrote up two descriptive documents: "Technical details--Project PM" and Project PM--Initial Release Specs." The second document supersedes the first one, but I am including both. Most recently, Campbell built a mockup, called Project PM Newswire -- this is not a Google document. Here is a link: http://newswire.singingsites.com/ Campbell, if this is not the latest version, would you send Tarn a link? tarn.adams@gmail.com There are inconsistencies among these various documents; our thinking evolved. I have also included a General Background Document (excerpts from and links to Barrett's writings) and a list of links to videos by Barrett which we have been sending to all inquirers.
