Hey I'm a fan of Wikileaks and Anon when they further good things and think your involvement is great. I was making an observation on how bad energy begets bad energy. AA taught me that and a whole lot of other things that have made my life bearable. AA is not for people who need it, it's for people who want it.
I first went to treatment when I was about your age. I told myself that I was going to quit hard drugs, grow up, and drink like a normal adult. One year later I was in the same facility, this time for alcohol. Took me another 6 or 7 years to get sober,. and those were the most miserable years of my life. I don't know why I think that there is something I can say that will convince you to forgo the years of purgatory, but hey. You're like me and I wouldn't listen to anyone either.
Us people with drug/alcohol problems have many emotional/mental/spiritual dysfunctions. AA is the only solution that has worked for me. There may be others, I've seen a lot of people die or go crazy trying to find one..
