Don't misconstrue the govt. Doing its homework with being on the defensive. They are building cases -- real or otherwise-- for sure.
Also be careful as you are skating perilously close to becoming a prime target for anon, and some of what appears to be going on could be construed as overt acts, "blackmail" etc. In a racketeering conspiracy. Bottom line is when you start making appointments to read the riot act to criminals, bigger criminals come to their aide, called the Department of Justice. Finally o have spent almost 30 years working the media for clients and I have not once come across a case where robin hood gets a free pass because of good press.Date: Sun, 13 Feb 2011 13:43:20 -0600Subject: Re: quick noteYes indeed. Had brief e-mail exchange with Greenwald yesterday to inform him of what we have on Michael Stettman at Palindir, the toy fascist firm that still employees him despite his central role in the Wikileaks/Greenwald conspiracy and despite the CEO's nonsense statement from the other day. I e-mailed Stettman two nights ago telling him he need to talk to me immediately; hour later got a call from lead counsel at Palindir (I recorded it) asking for an explanation, and I explained that I'm investigating the conspiracy. He proposed a conference call for yesterday to which I agreed, but then they didn't call as promised. So I sent Stettmen another e-mail advising him to start some sort of moral business providing internet solutions to North Africans, in which case Anon would provide him free expertise in accordance with our new policy of constructive amnesty - but that, if he is to continue with his career, we will react accordingly. Have kept Bloomberg up to date with all records. We haven't heard anything new from the Feds, whom are now on the defensive to at least an extent insomuch as that we have gained a great deal of influence in the press and have upped our public relations by showing how no rule of law exists for us to have broken by having stolen documents from criminals who target peoples' children. Palantir goes down next.

I'm looking into funding this week and will get back to you soon on that. Yes, I spoke to Village Voice too as well as NPR and have conference call with 60 Minutes tomorrow. In the meantime, you should see this: http://www.thetechherald.com/article.php/201106/6798/Data-intelligence-firms-proposed-a-systematic-attack-against-WikiLeaks?page=1

In addition to collecting info on what happened when and where, I gave them both a primer on what should and should not be done with regard to future contact with law enforcement etc. Also made sure that both were in "compliance" at this point with whatever "obligations" they might otherwise still have vis-a-vis the subpoenas etc. This includes communications with the agents. For now, to the degree possible, things are "under control". In any event there is not much more I can do without funds to get going as it would involve a lot of research, travel, investigations, and interviews etc. In this regard I have reached out to a number of other attorneys and forensic folks who are prepared to join in should a fight in earnest begin. I would note that Congress is starting to flex its muscles around the issue of "hacking" etc. both in terms of expanding criminal and civil sanctions- this info comes from a buddy of mine who is a well placed lobbyist in DC. There is no doubt in my mind that this is going to turn even more ugly in the coming months and people should really gear up for a big battle on a number of fronts in a number of ways. Meanwhile, by all means, keep me informed on what is happening. I was glad to help in whatever small way that I could. Also you should know that I gave a few provocative statements to a journalist for the Village Voice who is apparently doing a piece.

Just wanted to note that "no" is not going by "Rabbit" publicly; I think I accidentally told Bloomberg that she was, and apparently she meant to keep it a secret.
