Wael Ghonim: Tweeter, Google Employee, Facebook Aficionado—Revolutionary?

Recently-released Google executive praises active protesters, emphasizes Egyptian-led nature of the political campaign.

“The revolution will not be tweeted,” said Malcolm Gladwell this past October, in a move both surprising and ill-timed. Surprising for the New Yorker’s staff writer because of the more-or-less forward-thinking views he’s put forth over the past decade in his books The Tipping Point and Blink, detailing the now-familiar behavior of a “viral” cultural phenomenon, as well as the power of our own spontaneous judgments, respectively. Ill-timed, for obvious reasons, reasons emphasized today by the release of Wael Ghonim, a Google executive detained by the Egyptian Government for questioning regarding his role in organizing the recent anti-government protests.

How and Why to Love Frozen, Grass-Fed Beef

July is the best time to kill a grass-fed beef cow, if you ask me. The animal has been fattened on months of neon-green spring forage. Such a cow won’t be as big in July as it would have been in October, but spring grass-finished meat has a cleaner, sweeter taste, and is dripping with yummy fat.
