Basically, we got hbgary's e-mails along with hbgary federal's. Prez, penny, called me to make the distinction. I told her to come into irc to talk. She and greg whatshisname, who is a douche, were in for a couple hours. I don't think a consensus has been reached on our end as regards what to do, but anyway I don't think the e-mails have yet been downloaded by anyone because file isn't being sufficiently seeded via torrent, so there may still be time to come to a decision. I like penny but some others don't trust her on this matter when she claims to be angry with aaron, etc. Meanwhile greg has made some threatening statements to the press so, yeah, that wasn't particularly brilliant of him.

You may have seen yesterday's Financial Times piece which claimed that
the operational heads of Anonymous had been identified by a certain Aaron
Barr of the internet secuity firm HBGary Federal. Barr claimed that Q is
co-founder of Anonymous, which is demonstrably false (Q set up the
#anonymous channel at anonops.ru, which is simply an IRC channel) and
that he is seeking replacements for OWen. OWen merely runs and owns that
particular server, which as I told you is one of several de facto
operational centers. Everyone involved laughed their assess off yesterday
and several of us wrote a silly press release which was thereafter posted at
Daily Kos and AnonNews. Barr, for his part, is reportedly set to meet with
the FBI tomorrow in order to provide them with info gleaned from our
entirely non-secret IRC channels, and meanwhile his allegedly successful
intel operation will no doubt help his firm acquire further business.
The only problem is that Anonymous has just taken over the website of
HBGary Federal founder Greg Hoglund and deleted all bakcups. Suffice to say
that HBGary has attempted to interfere with a movement that has made
substantial contributions to the liberty and well-being of North Africans
and others and will be further dealt with over the coming hours. Please see:

Yeah, will do. Also, off the record, although Anonymous as a movement
will
no doubt continue to some small extent with Yemen, the 11th is the
anniversary of Iran's revolution and I'm in discussions with both
Iranian
exiles and some of the more competent Anons about supplying certain
tools to
Green folks ahead of that, and perhaps getting involved further. Our
concern
is that Anonymous is not yet equipped to handle such a situation as
Iran,
which obviously involves a lot of nuance and interference from all the
great
powers and then some. Eritrea, meanwhile, is a police state with a large
expat presence in the city in which I'm currently living and I've
managed to
get in touch with the exile opposition, which is enthusiastic about any
attempt. That, too, would be a secret op run out of Project PM until
such
time as our cover is blown, at which point Anonymous will be thrown at
them.
I expect those operations to begin in two weeks.

Michael-
Good to meet you. Here's the info I have. Let me know if I
forgot
anything.
"Heidi Boghosian" <director@nlg.org>, (NAtional Lawyers
Guild
director
with
whom I'm working to choose lawyers)
Stanley Cohen stanleycohen@earthlink.net - guy who guys on
Fox
and
defends
Hamas, lol
http://www.guardian.co.uk/commentisfree/cifamerica/2011/jan/27/anonymous-internet
-
my op-ed from other day, with links to info on OpTunisia,
etc.
As I mentioned, there are three people I'm assisting in
this.
"Trivette" is a channel operator of anonops.ru, where a
large
faction
of
the
Anonymous movement does its work. He's a California male
whose
documents
you
have (partially, it seems). Here is the entirety of what I
have;
if
other
info is needed from him, let me know and I'll get it ASAP.
The
relevant
grand jury starts on Feb 10.
Subpoena http://img39.imageshack.us/img39/4348/sub2sw.jpg
Attachment to federal grand jury subpoena:
http://img806.imageshack.us/img806/1708/subz.jpg
"Owen" controls the anonops.ru server. He was raided by the
FBI
but
has
not
received any subpoena. He doesn't seem interested in any
legal
advice
until
such point as he is required to get off his ass by the Feds.
"Rabbit"/"No" is a 19-year-old Nevada female. Her family
home was
raided
and
she was questioned at that point. She actually called right
after
I
got
off
with you and told me the following:
Equipment seized:
two broken laptops
two jump drives
father's laptop
mac book
samsung phone
iphone
router
The search warrant was shown to her only after she had
requested
to
see
it
several times and was questioned about MasterCard etc (it's
looking
like
the
MIAA thing may just be peripheral or even unrelated, as I'm
just
now
able
to
determine). It's headlined United States District Court of
Nevada.
According
to one section, it was supposed to be carried out by Feb 9 -
one
day
before
the California grand jury goes down. She'll be able to scan
it
and
get
it
to
you or whoever ends up assisting by Thursday but it's in
reference
to
her
having allegedly accessed a secure computer to obtain
information,

The NYT mentioned that you're helping to organize legal
assistance
for
some of those arrested and released recently. Do you have
a
couple
of
minutes to talk. I'm interested in your sense of what
DoJ's
strategy
is
here. Is this about making some examples from a few
people
associated
with
Anonymous. Are they trying to go after leaders in the

beheading
the
group (which seems unlikely, give the nature).
And I'm also just interested in what exactly people are

their
