SEND ME REGGIE’S CURRENT EMAIL ADDRESS.

I tried to warn you, I tried to tell you, nobody is involved with anything Reggie is trying to do, all his players and coconspirators are in his head, and he’s his own little puppet master. Those CC’s to other people and the sort were all designed to give some sort of virtual credence to his rants, to convince you and others of his multiple connections to the “has been, has, rich and famous.”

I’ve been watching him, from blog to blog, and of course on LGF, for almost three years now and I have seen this pattern repeat itself over and over, even spending a lot of time and bandwidth on LGF doing to me publically what it appears he is doing to you privately. No one, myself or anyone else, has ever seen ANY proof that anything Reggie has said has any basis in reality.

But I understand with the current complications with “A” (I read the article on “A Register” yesterday), that you really don’t have time, or the desire to deal with this idiot. If you need anything, ask.

I'm not sure exactly what's going on. Reggie was asking me to contact him yesterday and some of us were still operating under the assumption that he was in some sort of episode, so as I told some of the others, I planned to try to get him to go to Columbia medical where I have some contacts. Later, I was told that he was probably fine - I'd already stayed up late last night waiting for him to respond - so I forgot about it. Then he e-mailed me with some jibber jabber about this conservative financier he's involved with and cc'd Charles on it. I told him I wasn't interested and that he contacted Wonkette or some such if he wanted someone else to look into it, then he kept replying - to me and to Charles, who apparently is still taking his e-mails (he blocked mine as soon as I told LGF that Charles had once asked me for the IP of someone who'd commented on my own blog at True/Slant, but apparently is willing to keep the lines of communication open with this fellow despite everything). It became evident to me that the guy wasn't "crazy" in any clinical sense but rather just grandiose and degenerate. He kept e-mailing back and then said he was going to contact Vanity Fair and other editors and forward them our exchange, displeased that I kept brushing him off, so I replied with a brief account of how Vanity Fair is a degenerate publication and a briefer one on how Charles was letting his commenters discuss calling the FBI on me a few weeks back, and then told him to fuck off and kill himself. As expected, he replied again, this time cc'd to a couple random folks (I think Think Progress editor, etc.), so I figured he had want he wanted and I blocked him. Then decided I need to extricate myself from this whole situation in light of my latest responsibilities so told the gang at DoD I'd have to stop coming by, as I'm pretty disgusted with the sort of people Charles associates with and don't want more crazy folks running around saying my name and doing whatever the fuck else I don't know about yet. A part of it is also my new girlfriend, who's kind of freaked out by a lot of what she's seen from these quarters; she thinks the guy is going to continue stalking me, and based on what I've learned, he is almost certain to do so. I don't know what Charles' relationship to this guy is, but suffice to say he let him stick around even after his first bizarre and threatening comment, and in light of the fact that he allowed commenters to discuss calling the FBI on me and libel me as a criminal, I don't trust him at all. At the same time, things are getting serious with Anonymous and now that I'm writing their press releases as well as op-eds, with one coming tomorrow in al-Jazeera, I expect an even more dishonest and potentially damaging reaction from Kilgore Trout and the like. 40 of our people were served with search warrants today alone and it all it takes is one call from anyone to start a probe against me, and the FBI destroyed my family when I was a kid. This jumped from internet silliness to seriousness a while ago and I'm basically weighing my options at the moment.
