Politically correct is a bullshit notion, based mostly on being expected to kiss butt for fear of offending someone. The emphasis is on politically, meaning that it is politically dictated and politically demanded--- along with being expected to follow like a blind sheep lead to slaughter.
Don't get me wrong, there is nothing wrong with being polite and respecting one's gender, religion, political affiliation and/or lack thereof. But there is nothing that says that I must let myself be dehumanized, despised, robbed of my rights and hard-earned money, robbed of my country's constitutional rights and ideals just because a government body is in place.
Look I follow the rules, I obey the law, I file taxes. I worked hard like I was supposed to before I got sick and disabled. Now that I am sick and disabled, suddenly I am non-persona. Can't do what I want in my own house, don't have a say about what I'm paid, and still expected to support a government that does not constitutionally or politically support me. And dare I breathe a word or raise a protest, I shall be carted off to jail for Treason or some other government offense. So much for freedom of speech, the right to pursue happiness, the fallacy that we are all created equal.
We are not created equal. There is us, the citizens, and then there's the government. We can vote all we want to get the creeps and lounge-lizards that happen to end up in government office. But dare I speak against them, I am the one treated as the enemy. As though I am not already treated as the enemy. How dare I if I speak against injustice, protest something unfair, fight for my right not be illegally searched and seized. But the government can do whatever it wants to and with me, steal from or totally take away my wages, throw me in jail, have me locked up like an animal for standing up for what were supposed to be my inalienable rights. Meanwhile after that, how dare I ask the government for a HAND, not a handout. How dare I question where my tax dollars go, and what little I dare to ask... for a hand with a little something from the system. Just to keep me going, so that I don't sink like the economy or like a battleship on it's last leg of fighting an un-winnable war.
I am not declaring war on the government or war on other people. The only war I'm declaring, is that of injustice. I see so many going without. And when they dare to go to a government agency to ask, I see them treated as though they are a scourge or a blight on society. Meanwhile, whoever (and dare I say whatever) can come over here and get a tax-free handout and a tax-free status for five years. I lived here all my life, like a lot of others in this country. But, I am not entitled to amnesty, free government money to start a business, afforded every luxury of help to help me get certain papers so I can receive the benefits that others are receiving without being questioned. And then, I'm not supposed to be a little pissed about that???
Look I am all for being generous and helping others, all about respecting others and their rights, all about respecting a person for being a person. What I do not respect, is the lack of caring that goes on this world. Everyday, people are robbed and/or robbed and killed for what they worked hard for. Others have come to demand the governmental monetary handout that I cannot get, and afforded every accomodation in the world. But if I ask the same, I am treated as scum. As though I want to be standing in front of someone with what little dignity and rights I have left, to ask for just a little something to help me and my family keep going until I can work again!
What is the answer? Honestly, I don't know. But there is a lot of what's not working in our government and our economy, and within our constitutional rights that are being taken away one by one. We need to start taking care of our people and our own backyard, and stop letting ourselves be menipulated into thinking that everything's gonna be alright. As long as there is unfairness and inhumanness and injustice in this world, human or government related or otherwise, there's going to be nothing left for us citizens, us rule followers, us tax payers, us hardworkers, and us hardworkers who want to get back to work, if we don't do something to put a stop the moral raping of our country and it's citizens.
Right wing or left wing protestor, NO! Just a citizen who's tired of seeing us citizens in this country taking a financial and moral beating in the name of pursuing ideals and supporting a government who cares nothing for us or about us.
