 | Probably going to sound like a right-wing political crazy here, but if I don't say it no one else is going to. With a careful eye on what goes on in politics and the government, and what values our nation is supposed to stand for, I am deeply and darkly disappointed in the government and that certain traditions have been abolished. Most disturbing to me, is that the Ten Commandments have been removed from inside and outside our courtrooms and that some senators think English shouldn't be our first language. It is also very irritating that the word and tradition of saying Christmas cannot be said, nor Christ openly said or worshipped, because of offending certain groups of folks visiting, being here on visas, and/or permanent and legal residents. Someone needs to tell me and other interested citizens just WHY our children cannot pray in church, why we dare not mention our God's name Jesus or the Christ in the presences of others, and why Christmas and Christmas tree needed to be replaced with holiday and holiday bush. I'm sorry, but I just don't worship the gods other people choose or choose not to worship. If other people choose to worship Whomever, that is up to them and I don't judge them for it. But, don't judge me or others of us who do love and worship Christ, pray to Christ, refer to His birthday holiday as Christmas, and who put up a Christmas tree--- not a damned holiday bush--- every year to celebrate our Saviour's birthday as well as making that holiday festive and cheerful. Immigrants came to our country, via New York, and they adapted. They learned to speak English, took pride in that, and made their children learn it and speak it and write it as well! Those same hardworking people also had the respect and the courtesy to ADAPT. They learned, read, wrote, an spoke Eglsh, made tir children do it, and also became LEGAL citizens! They did not come here looking for a government handout to start a business, they did not come here demanding SSI, and they worked hard and payed taxes and became LEGAL. They took pride in our country, and they took it in their heart as their own. They adapted to our way of life, and upheld our country and its Constitution. SO MY QUESTION IS, WHY ISN'T THAT BEING DONE TODAY INSTEAD OF PEOPLE COMING HERE AND ACTING LIKE AMERICA OWES THEM EVERYTHING?!?????????????? Life and montary living is not owed to anyone. You have to work hard and EARN IT. Same goes with our country. If you want to come here, we welcome you! BUT HAVE THE RESPECT TO LEARN OUR LANGUAGE, SAUTE OURFLAG, AN RESPECT THEFACT THAT WE CELBRATE CHRISTMAS AND THAT SOME OF US LOVE AND WORSHIP CHRIST AND CELEBRATE CHRISTMAS AND PUT UP A CHRITMAS TREE. SAY IT, CHRISTMAS. NOT HOLIDAY AN HOLIDAY BUSH.. ENOUGH IS ENOUGH ALREADY, AND IF YOU DON'T LIKE WHAT I HAD TO SAY, THEN I'M SORRY. i'M NT GNOANT AND I'M NOT INTOLERANT OR IGNORANT NOR SOMEONE WHO IS ACIST.. WHAT I AMINTOLERANT OF, IS THE IGNORANCE AN LACK OF RESPECT FOR OUR LAWS, OUR RULES,OUR TRADITIONS, AND OUR FLAG! |
