You really haven't told me anything about LGF that isn't obvious to a long time observer. On certain issues, led by a few, it can take on a mob mentality, on others the shouting by the mockutariat rules the obsequious and marginalizes the saner voices by burying the discussion or lumping them with the targets of ridicule. In total, I would agree CJ enables that kind of behavior rather then moderates it. My response is generally to walk away and find something else to do. I come back when the topic is of interest to me. I had hoped your posting there was a signal that it was becoming a place of Ideas as opposed to Look How Stupid This Tea Bagger Is This Week, which I do enjoy! I view LGF much the way I view anyone else's blog or yard, it's their joint, they can rule it how they like. I don't find a need to tell my neighbor to pen her dogs up as they don't shit in my yard and I tell my rear neighbor to fuck off when he tells me he doesn't like the music coming from my barn. CJ is a house cleaner. It's a management style that doesn't resonate with who I am, but it doesn't have to. I get that it's personal with you. If it was with me, I might be coming on a little different.

The Diary of Daedalus...there's something pathological about a blog that is dedicated to monitoring and mocking another blog. I've read a little of it...it's hard. it's so aggressively stupid and unreal. I know it's populated by the LGF dispossessed, but that's just makes it fucking weirder. And sad. And I like weird. I've spent my adult life in shit hole bars and clubs rubbing elbows with people who are anathema to who I am at my core - I'm a cultural dumpster diver. Or at least use to be. It took me till 50, but I think I'm to old for that anymore and my kids like me more when I'm not hungover or smell of being on the road for a week. Get laid more too. But the stalker blogs? That's like if the short bus organized a Klan rally to protest Rand Paul. But, you know, have fun with that. Keep your head up and try not to get any on ya.

OK. I got wood to split and stack. Hard winters 40 days early this year here and I'm a bit freaked out Feb's going to roll around and we'll be out of wood. I'll take a look at the stuff you all sent me and we'll talk about that and see where it goes. With family coming in for the holiday, it will be next week for me.

I believe Clark has sent you some materials; let me know if you have any questions, otherwise I'll get back to you soon.

Just for the record, I do want you to understand why I'm talking to the "stalkers," who are largely people who just don't like Johnson for some reason or another. The echo-chamber at LGF is getting pretty intense as people get banned or leave. Right now they are discussing calling the FBI on me for some alleged crime involving Anonymous. They're also making basically the same ad hominem and deranged sort of comments that some of the "stalkers" used to make about me, this time in regards to the video - which, despite being characterized unsurprisingly as making me look bad, had its link deleted when someone put it up.

Just so you know, I have a number of faults - you know that already - but enforcing groupthink is not one of them. I think you'll enjoy meeting some of our more active participants; we have weekly IRC meetings each Wednesday evening at 7 EST and sometimes additional meetings via skype or other mediums when warranted. Although I'm the founder and currently "in charge," this will change when the software is completed, at which point every individual will have the exact same ability as every other within our "civilian network," similar to the blogger network.

Anyway, thanks again for giving us a chance.

Not a problem. I haven't done IRC since the last time I had a real job, but I'll get a client and give myself a review.

Great. I certainly didn't mean to come off as self-righteous just now. At any rate, I'm happy to have your continued interest, as we're actually now about to turn from sci-journ project, which is ready to roll, to the Africa project, which has partnered with a couple of very dynamic organizations themselves funded by Cambridge and a couple of British programs, etc. I'm about head out to the bar for a well-deserved 15 beers and to get some actual work done perhaps, but I'll get back to you within the next day or so. Do you know how to use IRC?

Also, here's a video I just put up to clarify what's been going on.

Hey Barrett,
I think a guy who is as bright as your are could spend his time in better ways and Daedalus is a cesspool of stupid, but of course where you want to shit is your own business. It's the internet to me, which is a fraction more important then the guy who spit on my shoe by accident last week. I agree that whole thing at the League was blown way out of proportion and your right, it's not my place to tell you what you should do.

Anyway, yeah, I'm interested in hearing about the Africa project.

Hi, Jeff-

I just found this in my spam folder while looking for something else. I'm not sure if you're still interested in working with me since I am in communication with certain people in an effort to get the word out that Johnson is lying about me having "outed" someone when I merely noted that they were harassing me from a government computer; I certainly don't mind that you think I ought to "grow up," as I'm happy with the choices I have made in life and the values I hold, nor do I have any inclination to tell you what sites you should visit under what circumstances, much less in telling you such things in a public forum. If you would still like more info about our Africa project, let me know; otherwise, good luck with everything.

Hey Barrett,
As a quasi long term, though sputtering poster and de facto supporter of LFG, I'm embarrassed by your treatment. I was looking forward to a substantive debate over globalist tactics in a global economy and instead suffered through dishonest arguments and limp dick jousting. While I appreciate you coming around and I've argued for your staying, I think I was mistaken. Unfortunaley, a large percentage of the prime LGF commentariat isn't interested in discussion, just mocking. I would suggest your time is best spent else where. I know mine will be.

Also, I asked you a bit about the Africa journalist project and 0v.com. The link you posted to the project went to someone else's blog spot and 0v.org looks like a shell waiting for someone to push the content button. Can you send me the link to AJP again?

My wife works for P&G in family care. Her current project is enabling clean water exchanges under the Pur brand in Kenya. They've partnered with the Safe Water and Aids Project (http://www.swapkenya.org) and are providing locals with the tools to set up market water kiosks where locals can barter goods for sanitized(ing) water. I'm frequently trolling about for alternative resources in attempts to continue help see her project succeed.

all the best,
Jeff
