Yeah, I'm in the same boat. Think I'm "signed in" now, or connected to chatnet, at least. Handle: dangles for whenever Gregg gets online. On Thu, Dec 9, 2010 at 7:17 PM, Barrett Brown <barriticus@gmail.com> wrote:
I'm not sure which client you're using, but try typing freenode.net into either of the other boxes. Otherwise, check the site from which you got the client and there should be documentation; I have guys who handle my tech stuff for me as I don't know a lot about these things myself.

Downloaded an IRC Client, but now it wants to know my favorite network, server, and room I'd like to join. I assume the room is /join #ProjectPM, but any idea on the other info?On Thu, Dec 9, 2010 at 6:50 PM, Barrett Brown <barriticus@gmail.com> wrote:Okay, he'll talk to you in a few hours. Download an IRC client if you don't have one, connect to freenode.net, and type /join #ProjectPM. His name is Gregg Housh. Read this piece beforehand so you'll have sufficient background info; it was the one that prompted him to get in touch with me a while back as most journalists aren't equipped to understand Anonymous due to its unusual nature:I'll e-mail you back when he's ready to meet. Or, you can log on to my IRC channel beforehand and you'll hear a sort of "beep" when he's ready. In the meantime, feel free to ask me any questions beforehand if you'd like additional background; I've been active with Anonymous on and off since 2006, although I didn't make that public until recently.
