This fellow might also be a good candidate for our administrative discussions.Date: Wed, Nov 10, 2010 at 4:32 PMHi, Robert-

To: Robert Connors <rconnorsresearch@gmail.com>That would work fine. Do you have any particular areas of scientific interest? If so, I'll introduce you to a scientist of equivalent background; otherwise, I can share with you our Google spreadsheet of participants so that you can take a look and decide who might be a good fit. We have a dozen or so scientists now and should be brining in more gradually as we continue to promote the program.

I have read some of the book you sent to me, and I must tell you I am very impressed with your style and content. I would very much like to help with your project, but still have a half-formed, and possibly incorrect, understanding of what will be required of me. Despite this, if it would not be too disruptive to be unable to complete the program, I would like to move forward and learn more, meet the scientist with whom you would pair me, discuss his/her work, goals, and hindrances, and see how I might be able to assist in communicating ideas to the broader readership. With those caveats stated, I hope to hear from you soon.-RobertOn Sat, Nov 6, 2010 at 7:55 PM, Barrett Brown <barriticus@gmail.com> wrote:
Hi, Robert-Just wanted to check and see if you'd still be interested in participating, and if so, what your areas of interest are. I'm assigning writers to scientists over the next few days.

Thanks for getting in touch. Your background sounds perfect. What sort of books have you written? I've attached my second one, which is coming out soon; the last chapter in particular serves as a great introduction to what we're doing overall, while the rest explains to some extent why we're doing it.
When you get a moment, send me a short list of the fields you'd be interested in writing about and I'll put you down as a writer and will eventually pair you with a scientist of compatible background.
I'll have my associate Clark Robinson send you some additional information about Project PM and our fundamental goals, which involve the development and promotion of improved methods of collaboration and information flow. We have a number of documents you might find interesting, and our more active participants tend to congregate in our new IRC channel which itself may be accessed at irc.freenode.net, #projectpm (I recommend Xchat if you're new to IRC, but Clark will send along a short guide including other methods of getting on).
Let me know if you have any questions, and thanks again for participating in this program.--On Thu, Oct 14, 2010 at 6:55 PM, Robert Connors <rconnorsresearch@gmail.com> wrote:Hello, Mr. Brown;A dKos friend flagged your post for me, and suggested I contact you.
