Dear friends, clients and associates,

As some of you know we have been working for the last 2-3 years on a web platform to enable designers and clients to design and self-manage their web sites (it is not a template system). We are about to release a limited beta version at the beginning of December while working on the official release to come out in early Spring 2011. The third revision and official beta release will have a much improved user interface and some advanced functions. We learned a lot from the current release.

In our initial marketing efforts, we are branding (rebranding) our new product and would love your input. Since you are one of our hand picked clients, friends or associates, we believe that you have insight in our company (and us) and can give us some honest feedback in regards to the product name and tagline.

It is a good problem when your business is growing, and you are releasing a new product line, expanding your services, or rebranding your company. Suddenly, your site looks outdated and you are missing functions. Facebook and Twitter icons to follow are non-existent, where is the video you worked on last year, there are no testimonials on your site - and you are just so 2004.

You have to do something about it! Tracking down your fantastic web designer from three years ago is a challenge? The new designer is asking for several thousand dollars to rebuild your site and bombards you with terms you have never heard of. Gotta love IKEA! We love IKEA as well, but loosing your brand and becoming just another company in the long line of unknown companies does not seem to cut it; especially after all these sleepless nights and constant hours of labor (OOPS, too much information) to build your universe. Do you really want someone to mistake your business for the local hardware store that uses the same website template? Yes, the alternative would be great: spending 2-3 years and several thousand dollars to consult with a marketing firm and revamp your website.

Wouldn’t it be awesome if you can test the design and see if your clients really love the new sign or secretly click away and run off to your competitors? But, that is way beyond your budget to test a design and change it on a whim…or at least so you thought.

Wouldn’t it be great if you could just change the design without any long-term commitments? Or work with any designer or perhaps your cousin who has a BFA in graphic design?

That is what we thought! In (Product Name) we created a design module where you (or your designer or cousin) can easily update your look with a basic knowledge of photo editing tools. Change the design of each page (or all pages), roll back to designs from previous years, store the new Valentine’s Day designs and publish them in late January to boost sales.

Don’t let the conglomerates beat you in setting trends in home page designs! Set the trends for them and be in season!

The big holidays are rolling around! Wouldn’t it be great to add snowflakes to your home page to promote your gift line? Add some snowflakes, winter images on your homepage: add them to your design in Photoshop (or any other image editing tool), upload them to (Product Name) and then rollback to the previous design after the holidays. It will not take you more than editing the design and hitting the upload button. (Product Name) will preserve your site structure unless you want to change it.
