While we're working on filling out the system stack, here's some competition to consider:

Side note - lots of non-profits take offense to the word "competition."  But it is a very important consideration in the activist sector.  Of course we arent "putting people out of business" in the sense that some people consider, but we do compete with other organizations: for mindshare, for effectiveness, for target user and value recipient markets.  It is important to identify competing organizations and models, as a way of working out what sets us apart.  what in their strategy can we use, and what makes us different?

Yes, please do!  The goal of the document is just that - to get our creative juices flowing, and to find as many of the holes (and nooks and crannies) in our concept as possible.  There is still more to write, obviously.... but I'd love to hear your feedback!

I propose we use our new Wiki to keep a list of all our questions that are raised by the document.  I have a bunch that we haven't gotten to talk about yet.   I've gotten us started at http://projectpm.singingsites.com/wiki/discussion-system-stack-document

Also... I'm just going to say it: I hate wiki formatting.  It drives me crazy that I have to learn some stupid text-based markup language when WYSIWYG editors are so good and easy to configure.  It is literally a checkbox for me to disable wiki "text-based" formatting and use WYSIWYG on our Wiki.  You can see what it would look like by editing a page on the site...

Campbell,

Sundeep forwarded me the PDF you created. You've certainly put a lot of thought and effort into, and it shows as it looks very impressive!

Is it okay if I ask some questions and make some comments? I've only begun to review the document, but already the creative juices are flowing.
