Gotta tell you, I loved the Barrett Brown piece. Please feel free to forward this to him. Even a self-admitted "sneaky" and "unfair" piece is nothing but a compliment. And kudos to Steve Brodner for capturing my cheerfully sinister countenance.

I am grateful for Mr. Brown's grudging compliments, as well. I would say this: I appreciate some snarky commentary as much as the next person (having practiced a great deal of it myself). But his catch-the-conservative game, which is fair and square at its root, involves "asking" a conservative something, which in my case he obviously did not do. He concocted a question about something fairly arcane, and applied as my "answer" a paragraph from a column about something else. Maybe if one admits to sneakiness up front, that is teflon for whatever follows. So a small nut-kick for that, but the bottom line is: fun piece, and I admit to a twisted sense of flattery.
