We are working every day to try to get rid of Randy Forbes, but unfortunately we can’t do it alone.  If you care about jobs, if you care about education, if you care about getting a congressman who will work for you every single day, you NEED TO LEND A HAND ON THIS CAMPAIGN.

Here are a few facts about Randy Forbes:

1.  Forbes voted against offering medical care to 9/11 first responders injured while trying to save American lives.  Recently the congress debated a bill to create a fund to help the firefighters, police, and port authority workers who have contracted illnesses due to their exposure to toxic chemicals while trying to rescue people from the collapsed World Trade Center.  These heroes were injured doing their jobs and saving American lives, and Randy wants them to be stuck with the medical bills.

2.  Forbes has voted against billions of dollars for Virginia schools.  Nearly every time he gets the chance, Forbes votes against any increased education funding, including voting against grants for traditionally Black and Hispanic schools, voting against grants to make schools more energy efficient – saving local money, and voting against over 10 BILLION in general education funding.

3.  Forbes votes to keep us addicted to oil and other fossil fuels.  At nearly every turn Forbes votes the way big oil tells him to, whether it is supporting offshore drilling here in Virginia – putting our precious Chesapeake Bay at risk – or voting against funding for renewable energy, Randy Forbes takes care of foreign oil and giant energy corporations first, and Virginia last.

That’s what we’re running against.  Every chance he gets Forbes picks big, often foreign, corporations over Virginia interests, and he wont even stand by his record and debate us.  We need your help to spread the word.  Join us this weekend to hit the streets and tell people just how important this election is:
