Barrett,
Quite possibly - the only concern I would have is that what we're really looking for are people who want to make The League their home, who would post very regularly and be invested in the site. And you are already spread fairly thin, I would think, with Project PM and your various other ventures. I could be wrong, naturally - what do you think?
Cheers

Also, my associate Clark Johnson says you tweeted something about wanting guest bloggers for League of Ordinary Gentlemen; let me know if you guys would have an interest in me posting there on occasion, I'm really fond of that blog.

I shared a Google Doc with you; if you'd like, fill in your areas of interest under the relevant columns, and feel free to pick any scientist from the list.

Cool. Maybe share the Google Doc and I'll see who happens to be available, what they do, etc. Brainstorm from there.

Erik-
If there's a particular branch of science in which you're interested, let me know and I'll introduce you to a scientist of that background. At that point, the two of you can discuss what particular story to do; he or she will most likely have suggestions based on their knowledge of what's going on in the field. Afterwards, you can decide for yourself who to sell the piece to, or we can help you to place it if you'd like.

Barrett,
I'm definitely interested. Are we thinking in terms of specific ideas we'd like to pursue, or that the scientists in question might have, or are we just supposed to come up with something we're interested in...?

Hi, Erik-
The project I mentioned to you a few weeks back was launched yesterday, and since then we've recruited about two dozen scientists, some of whom have extraordinary backgrounds. We only have five or six good writers at this point (although that will probably change when we post on craigslist's "writing gigs" section, which I don't look forward to), so if you'd still be interested in writing science pieces for sale to mainstream publications, let me know and I can either assign you one of the better scientists or I can share our Google doc listing all of them and their areas of expertise and you can pick one yourself.
Here's
a link to the announcement which includes more details on how this works and why we've decided to do it; get back to me if you'd like to proceed.
