8:56 PM Kermelos: hey barrett this is kermelos from OKC
8:57 PM me: howdy
Kermelos: sorry i didnt get back to you sooner about the africa PM project
been reading everything u sent me
me: great, let me know if you have any questions
8:58 PM Kermelos: for sure. not through with it yet tho
me: you might also log on to our irc channel at irc.freenode.net #projectpm, which we're now using to run the organization
Kermelos: cool
Kermelos: at this point you are sharing this with the public?
Kermelos: meaning, sharing the docus freely?
me: oh, most of the docs can be released whenever, we might put them on our website
me: we're going to be using the custom software for working on further things
Kermelos: u must be hella busy
me: yeah, got a lot I'm working on
Kermelos: how many africans do you have cooperating on this project?
Kermelos: just a curious question
me: we're working with a couple of Africans on the ground and with African organizations, although no one active in Project PM is from Africa
me: to my knowledge, at least; we have 120 or so participants and I only know a dozen or so of them well
me: and most of the aid groups we're working with are run by Americans
Kermelos: amazing
me: are you from Africa?
Kermelos: yeah
me: I've lived in Tanzania, but I'm American
Kermelos: lol yea u mentioned before
me: we just set up another program and the Africa program is next to be launched, probably within two weeks
me: we have about a dozen who will be participating other than yourself, and are planning to commit any financial resources we acquire entirely to that program, as we don't really need it for anything else
me: one of the questions we'll be trying to answer is what should be included if one has $100 to assist one small community or village, and we hope to have customized versions of this for varying levels of pre-existing development and differing situations
me: Anyway, you'll get an e-mail when we begin and in the meantime you should check out the IRC channel
Kermelos: i already logged on
Kermelos: i havent gotten the chance to thoroughly read the docus/links....already have a few questions but ill hit u up once im finished reading it all
Kermelos: brb
