Clark: i am going to try setting myself up with two screens to make this kind of thing easier
Clark: it is clear we will need to seriously address information intake issues as we grow larger
me: that's definitely needed
me: I actually got myself a dry erase board to serve as extra "RAM" for thinking up collaboration methods
me: anyway, the film idea is about a freelance speechwriter who ends up writing for both candidates in an election, unbeknown to either campaign
Clark: that is a great idea
me: also I'm going to have one of the characters walk around with a copy of a book manuscript some neighbor of his has given him and read aloud sections throughout the film and make fun of it
Clark: i predict that one of the suggestions you will get from the hollywood folks is that the candidate the freelancer disagrees with politically will be an attractive lady for love interest, but seems to me the intellectual honesty and even moral issues are much more potentially intersting
me: using an actual manuscript that this crazy guy I knew gave me before getting furious at me for not paying attention to him and then leaving lots of angry blog comments for me
me: it's really going to flesh out the film
me: which is indeed going to be based on an examination of the nature of the media and power, but will also be a comedy
me: the tone would be similar to the Gore Vidal play you mentioned the other day
me: except not really
