This is Barrett Brown; we exchanged e-mails earlier this year regarding your encounter with Huckabee. Sorry I never got around to running another piece on that, but I still have your interview responses and may work them into something on the fellow relatively soon.
I believe you sent an e-mail inquiring about the project I've been working on, Project PM. We've expanded quite a bit over the past six months and have now begun launching sub-programs related to our general goals of improving information flow in a variety of contexts. If you're interested, I'd like to have you on as a participant in some capacity or another. This wouldn't require any real time commitment on your part; rather, you'd simply contribute your input to whatever extent you're inclined to do so, and there will be various tasks listed that you can work on if you feel like it.
We have about 100 members on board now - including prominent scientists, journalists, philanthropists, futurists, and entrepreneurs - about a dozen of whom work directly with me on deciding how to proceed in general and seeding new working groups, and I need someone with good research skills to assist us with various tasks that come up. I can give you a title as well as provide you with opportunities for career growth; we've just launched our new Science Journalism Improvement Program, for instance, so I could pair you with a working scientist who would provide you with a story idea, background knowledge, and people to quote, after which we'd provide additional assistance in getting the resulting piece published, with you keeping whatever payment you receive from the outlet.
Anyway, I hope all is well with you (and you seemed to be off to a good start anyway). Let me know if any of this interests you, in which case I can give you more info.
