Thanks for pointing out the MIT event. I watched their About video and found it very interesting. I've passed along the link, and I'm confident theyll feel the same way.
With regards to developing underdeveloped regions in Africa, some of our members have actual boots on the ground experience and/or strong ties to major aide groups and NGO's. Also, one of the potential financial suitors that Project PMs founder, Barrett Brown, is in communication with has extensive experience participating in philanthropic works in these regions.
The rest of our group numbers about XX participants and is a mix of individuals across the globe with varying skill sets and expertise. Members range from a CIA Directorate of Operations and the current Director of the University Center for Innovation in Teacher and Education at Case Western Reserve to a project manager specialized in Internet strategy and development for firms such as the Mozilla Foundation and John Hopkins University, and a jazz guitarist turned award-winning Blogger.
The ultimate goal of Project PM is to best utilize information technology along with your collective knowledge base to better the world in any and every aspect possible.
Would you mind telling me more about what you do? What exactly did you speak about at the National Society of Professional Journalists?
