LeGrow For Congress

Barrett,

Here at the LeGrow campaign we try to stay positive.  We like to talk about all of the great things Wynne LeGrow is going to do in Congress.  Bringing jobs and prosperity back to our part of Virginia, phasing out fossil fuels and getting us building the solar panels, wind mills, and dams that will bring jobs and clean air and water to our region – that’s what we like to talk about here at LeGrow headquarters.

But sometimes you step back and take a look at your opponent and realize you’ve got to say something.  Here are a few things you may not know about Randy Forbes:

1.  Forbes refuses to stand by his record and debate.  After snubbing the League of Women Voters, we offered Forbes dozens of dates on which we’d be willing to debate him.  He has dodged every offer.

2.  Forbes voted against offering medical care to 9/11 first responders injured while trying to save American lives.  Recently the congress debated a bill to create a fund to help the firefighters, police, and port authority workers who were harmed while rescuing people on 9/11.  These heroes were injured doing their jobs and saving American lives, and Randy wants them to be stuck with the medical bills.

3.  Forbes votes to help businesses ship jobs overseas, but not to help out-of-work Americans afterward.  Forbes has voted yes on every bill that has come before him to lower the barriers to outsourcing, but when he got the chance to assist workers who lost their jobs due to globalization, he voted no.  Forbes is willing to fight for big business, but not for working people.

That’s what we’re running against.  Every chance he gets Forbes picks big, often foreign, corporations over Virginian interests, and he wont even stand by his record and debate us.  We need your help to spread the word.

Help us take the fight to Randy Forbes today by contributing $25, $50, $100, or whatever you can today.

The best way to help is by talking.  Join us this weekend to hit the streets and tell people just how important this election is:

In Petersburg, Saturday and Sunday at 2:30 PM

In Chesapeake, Saturday and Sunday at 2:30 PM

We can’t afford the reckless leadership of Randy Forbes any more.  Join or movement to carry change to Washington by contributing or volunteering today.

If you’re offended, if you’re mad, if this isn’t the kind of representation you think we deserve here in Virginia then give me a call at 434-509-8522, or send me an email at efeinman@gmail.com.  Get involved.  Otherwise you’re letting Forbes get away with this stuff.

Evan

PS – We finished our last fundraising period strong with your generous support, but we need all the help we can get going into the home stretch – please consider contributing another $25, $50, or $100 today. Thank you!
