Thanks for all of your work on this, Campbell; you've been of tremendous help since coming on board.

Incidentally, the meeting is Wednesday night, not tonight, at 6:30 EST. Anyone else who'd like to join up may do so by setting up a Gmail account (which is very easy and also facilitates access to the shared Google Docs we use for tasks, membership rosters, and other documentation) and then send me an e-mail with your new address so that we can invite you to the meeting when it starts.

Hello everyone -
I'm not sure I'll be able to make it to tonight's meeting, so I thought I would leave a few notes for you all to discuss.  I've volunteered my own server and website expertise for our site, and took the liberty of deploying something basic to my staging server, http://projectpm.singingsites.com/ .

Anyone can request an account on the site, and I'll make sure to check in and approve any accounts you request before tonight's meeting.  Having an account gives you access to view and edit the Wiki pages for the time being.  I have very granular access control - if we want to give someone or everyone access to edit the pages on the site, just let me know.

Things to note for the time being:

* We have a website!
* The layout is a publicly available theme from http://drupal.org/project/themes .  If anyone wants to look through those themes and choose one they like better (it must be compatible with Drupal 6.x), it's simple to implement
  * The expectation is that our designer will ultimately build us a custom theme, but that's probably not a high priority if we can get a theme that we like.
* The site is based on Drupal, the leading Content Management System out there.  It's incredibly extensible, so if anyone has any ideas or suggestions for particularly cool functionality, please let me know.
* How do we want to interact with users?  Are the site and wiki just for projectpm administrative staff?  Or do we want to encourage public registration as well?  Perhaps for some of the "cool functionality"?
* How does the Wiki functionality I added compare to our other options?  This is a pretty default implementation; if there are specific features you want/need, chances are I can implement them.

Thanks to everyone - I look forward to hearing your feedback!

Many thanks,

C
