Thanks for the nomination - I'm happy to help!  As for the twiki, I'll try and have a look.  I set up a basic wiki on the drupal site... took about 30 minutes.  Basically when you log in, you get a "wiki" menu item on the far right.  Any authenticated user can edit or create new wiki pages, and the whole thing uses the PMwiki format.

Barrett, what content do you want for the pages on the site?  I just don't know the project well enough to write convincing content for it.  You can log in at http://projectpm.singingsites.com/user and use the "edit" button on each page to edit content.  Pretty straightforward stuff.

Thanks

It does look like it would meet our needs. Campbell has a means of implementing an internal wiki as well so we'll compare and contrast. Campbell, I'm including you in this response so you can take a look at Twiki prior to Wednesday's meeting and see what you think, if you have the time. The site in question is http://www.twiki.org

Clarke, You raise good points about the Google programs as well in terms of accessibility so that's something that we must be sure to include in our calculus when we make a final decision.

I spent some time on the Twiki website. The 'presentation' screen is informative.

Appears to be a great program. It looks to me as if, were we to use it, we would need a server or hosting (see http://www.emwd.com/twiki.php for low-cost hosting).  We would also need a person (or a firm commitment by specified collaborators) providing both the skills and the time availability to set up and administer the wiki on an ongoing basis.

We have been using Google programs because they are free, usable by unskilled users, Google stores them, and we meet with relatively lower resistance than otherwise when we ask newcomers to open a Google account and access the programs. We will need to consider these factors before embracing other programming.
