Yes, things should proceed a lot faster now, and will speed up further as we incorporate more good people into our loose network of administrators. I think this IRC setup will be very helpful in speeding things up further as we bring in more participants and start getting existing participants more invested in the project. I'm also planning out a way by which to delegate authority for various tasks to our better participants so that they can have people working under them and thus proceed on various things without us having to direct all of the proceedings. Tim Ellis and the unconventional activities group is an example; I'll set them up such that they're semi-autonomous and will only need guidance from us in the form of go-aheads just to ensure that what they carry out is compatible with our intended image and ethos. This way we can simply conceive a project, assign it to someone trusted, provide them with people to help (or have them recruit their own), and move on to other things that require our direct management.

I am not presently busy enough to make use of an assistive person, so let that go for the time being.

I am pretty pleased with the way Project PM has been going since you instituted the weekly meetings and began your personal efforts to expand the core of active members.  Undoubtedly there will be some participants who don't stick with it, and some friction among participants.
