I thought maybe you could get your wife to read it to you. Anyway, the last chapter is sort of a manifesto-by-hint for Project PM, the conspiracy I told you about. We just had another meeting this evening and are about to launch our science journalism improvement project, which I'll announce in Skeptical Inquirer next week and will send you a link. I think I mentioned to you that we're basically pairing freelancers with scientists in order to produce superior, accurate articles relative to the nonsense that often gets printed, and will also be helping them to place the articles in various publications. We don't take any money out of the cut so it's a great deal for the freelancers and we've got some top-notch scientists on board out of the goodness of their hearts. I'll be delegating some of this to Mano Singham of Case Western once everything's up and running; he's a hell of a guy, has written a couple of books about evolution and whatnot and is otherwise just an incredibly erudite fellow. If you know of any writers who'd be interested, have them get in touch with me. Same with any science-background types you may know, and I'm assuming you know a lot. In fact, your operation in Hawaii would obviously be a good subject to have profiled by someone even if it's already been written up somewhere.Let me know if you want me to forward the discussion from tonight's meeting. I just set up a sub-group based largely in NYC with the intent of staging various IRL trolling/agitation incidents intent on embarrassing certain media outlets and personalities. The guy I've put in charge runs a rave promotion company, another guy runs this company that redoes urban properties in surreal ways and pulls various pranks besides, another was heavily involved in fucking with the Church of Scientology even after the Church found him and got him charged with a felony, etc. They're working on specific plans now but I wanted to sit down with you and hammer out a sample operation. Anywho, give me a ring when you get back. If you see any Taiwanese political posters or propaganda or any such thing, try to grab it for me.On Wed, Sep 29, 2010 at 9:53 PM, Lou Reese <louisreese@gmail.com> wrote:Barrett,Thanks for letting me in the loop on this.
