Ha, that guy's great. Well-shot all around.

I've been jotting down notes on how a web series would go, using Friedman as an example. And as an example of how it shouldn't go, I'm looking at Young Turks with Cenk Uygur, which is mostly just him sitting there at a desk and talking for a minute or two to no memorable effect and then showing some clip of a Republican acting stupidly. I've got some ideas as to how to take best advantage of the format; however the presentation works (and I've got some thoughts on that too), it should make some clever use of quick clips of amusing political and pundit moments, often spliced in without announcement or acknowledgement. For instance:

Meanwhile, we could easily make a sure-to-go-viral promo by taking all of these goofy little hand gestures that Friedman makes in this video, compiling them into a sort of sound board, and accompanying it with some sort of techno or otherwise instrumental track:

58 - 1:00 wave of anxiety

3:11 zip lol

3:47 lol ouch

3:50 spreads arms

4:02 WHAT'S GOING ON WHAT'S BEHIND ME

4:15 bird hands

5:05 crazy hands

5:24 fountain

5:45 magic weirdo hands

5:47 magic weirdo claws

6:42 points

6:47 crush

6:57 I dunno wtf

7:01 zipping down a dress

7:36 twirling hands

7:49 wave out

7:59 lower

8:04 the claw

9:59 shakey leveled hand

11:13 in and out

11:34 magic hands 2

12:47 gun

13:34 lol point

I've also found a number of more substantive clips with Friedman saying something that I know to contradict his earlier sentiments or otherwise make him look foolish.

absolutely spot on--the end credits are amazing, and the movie is good but not at their level).  adam's watching this tonight.

i'm taking co-writing credit with you on this as i did various tweaks if that's cool.
