Scott: Barrett?
me: yo
Scott: Have you had time to think about the freethehikers event?
me: yes, I asked Barry Eisler his opinion and he said that me doing a piece and ensuring it gets out as far as possible would be the best toure
me: route
Scott: that's sounds great!
me: what is the date again for the rally?
Scott: Not today but this upcoming Friday.
Scott: Short notice, I know.
me: not at all
me: I can most likely get this on Huffington Post
me: and I will try to ensure that Little Green Footballs covers it as well
me: as Johnson owes me a couple of favors
Scott: it's up to you if you want to cash one of those favors in
Scott: but any support would be greatly appreciated.
me: no problem at all
me: he really doesn't have much to provide in terms of favors anyway
Scott: lol
Scott: isn't he some advanced computer programmer?
me: not advanced relative to others we have
me: plus he's busy
Scott: I know you know that it was via his blog that I came across Project PM.
Scott: Something I've noticed lately is that he's made more frequent requests for donations that in the past.
Scott: Just a side note.,
me: yeah, he ought to freelance
Scott: got it.
Scott: let me know if there's anything you need me to do with regards to constructing the article i.e. website, contact info for family, etc.
me: I'll check out the link you sent me and then let you know what other info I'd need
Scott: Sounds good.
Scott: I'll hold off on telling the organization about anything until you give me the go ahead.
Scott: Change of subject as I read your email: Will the Blogger widget be desktop software or embedded in the hosting site's webpage?
me: If you don't hear back from me by Sunday evening, shoot me a reminder e-mail, gotta finish one piece for Skeptical Inquirer and then I'm on it
me: I'm thinking webpage
me: as we want it to display to anyone who comes across blog
Scott: ok because webpage is the assumption i was working with
Scott: agreed
me: this essig fellow
me: will be very helpful in determining specifics
Scott: Also, the point that was made about a flat homogeneous web is something I've brought up with Clark in the past. It's a good point that requires thought
me: go ahead and copy him into further discussions regarding PUSH, etc.
me: absolutely
Scott: what happens if all bubbles turn into one HUGE bubble
me: and I'm totally open to adding various aspects that would limit activity if we decide that this will prevent that from occuring
Scott: ok from now on, i will include in all discussions
me: actually, Mano Singh as well
Scott: I was about to ask that.
Scott: Do they have Google so they can be added to the excel document, or do you think that's too cumbersome at this point in time?
me: I believe they can access shared docs without Google
me: but I can't remember
me: Clark actually knows more than I on that
me: and he does tend to suggest that people get gmail anyway, as he should
Scott: ok i'll talk to clark about getting them added
Scott: hopefully over the weekend I'll have some time to incorporate some of the subjects that have been discussed in email
me: yeah, I'
me: been busy as hell too
me: haven't even written back to Glenn Greenwald yet, but am going to do so today
Scott: i wish there was a better way than hat spreadsheet
Scott: it's torturous to look at and edit
me: hmmm
me: jot down the aspects that you think are most bothersome
Scott: I actually copied and pasted it into Excel and found it slighly easier since I could adjust the aspect ratios.
Scott: scrolling, not being able to see the big picture (maybe my mind is too feeble ;) )
me: right on
me: if you notice anything else, keep it in mind, as it might apply to what we end up doing in terms of creating new software
me: organizational software, etc
Scott: understood
me: I do want to look into that in a few months
me: I think it'll be particularly helpful
Scott: i fully agree
Scott: I wish there was some device that could articular my thoughts better than I can.
