Hello, Chris,

I'm Clark Robinson, a retired lawyer from Chicago who is working with Barrett Brown on Project PM.  I'm pleased that you're interested in the project; here's some additional information.  I am copying this to Scott Mintz, who is also working with Barrett.

Here is a link to our group blog, Project PM Workshop. http://www.workshoppm.blogspot.com/  This is not Project PM itself but rather a forum for those of us working on the project to share ideas. As you can see we are interested in not only media reform efforts but also applying the knowledge we gain about online networking to overseas charities, to journalism relating to science and to supporting other projects we admire, such as an international network of bicycle recycling organizations. If you click back a couple of pages through the "older posts" you will find a fairly long list of links to Barrett's earlier writings related to Project PM.  Included are some articles that give a foretaste of Barrett's book that will be published later this year (those with pundits' names in the links).  However, I have read some chapters in draft of the actual book I must say that the book goes far beyond these articles, in terms of both painstaking critiques and audacity of style. Also, at the end of this message I will paste in a shorter list of articles, chosen to introduce the concepts underlying the blogger network component of Project PM. I particularly recommend the Skeptical Inquirer columns.

It is becoming clear that Project PM is attractive to a wide spectrum of participants. Barrett seems to have struck a nerve, and we are getting many volunteers who are not writers or activists, but rather citizens interested in better media. Some things we are working on currently include writing up the specifications for the software that will support the blogger network, organizing some sub-groups to work on specific tasks, and instituting a periodic news letter to be distributed by e-mail.

If you have any questions, don't hesitate to send mail to Barrett or myself.
