Adomanis did very well on both of those videos, which I had not seen before. I am of two minds on the fellow; on the one hand, he has a number of bad habits, such as restating the views of others in such a way as to convey things that they did not actually assert (he's done this to The Economist, for instance). On the other, he is very knowledgeable and poised. He means well, and will be of use to us, although I wonder if he would be better use simply on the governing network.

Speaking of Russia, Russia Today is in part a Kremlin-backed enterprise insomuch as that they receive money from the government and seem to be engaged in the business of defending that nation from what they see as unfair attacks on Russia. I'm certainly not going to be invited back on. Additionally, I'm going to face attacks from other parties for advancing the FSB/apartment bombing connection, which is unfortunately viewed as some sort of wild theory by a number of people. I already lost Sergei Romanoff due to that and got in an argument with Justin Raimondo today (Raimondo is no big loss, of course; I will forward you the debate), and to the extent that my appearance tomorrow night gets attention, I will be cast as a nut by various people who think it is crazy to suggest that elements of a Russian government would kill other Russians and lie about it in order to achieve some end. At any rate, you will find the case for this in the chapter on Friedman in the manuscript - which is to say that this is something we're inevitably going to have to deal with anyway when the book comes out.

Also, spoke again with Neul Rauhaser just now; he is the one who is running a project somewhat akin to ours, developing information schematics for use in political campaigns. He has sent me these links:

... which he describes as "curated situational awareness systems meant for the House Progressive Caucus." I won't have time to take a look until after the Russia Today appearance but imagine they will be interesting. I also told him to get in touch with you, as he is looking for a few people to assist him and I said we could provide them. As I mentioned earlier, I hope to divide our participants into informal groups very soon and start assigning them tasks; assisting Neal will be one of those, as we definitely have much to gain from what he is doing and although he is of course a partisan Democrat, I am happy to indirectly assist candidates of his choosing, particularly in primaries wherein machine candidates would otherwise win.

As for Neuromancer, the first fifty pages or so are a bit devoid of ideas, but once the plot is set up, the book proves full of them. I look forward to hearing your thoughts after you've read it.

Yeah I remember those, Adomanis essentially conceded that to you, if I recall it correctly. Although Adomanis continues to think the current regime is not so bad, relative to prior ones.

The video may not end up being posted, although we will have access to the live feed and be able to post it ourselves. I say this because I plan on pointing out that the Russian apartment bombings of 1999 were clearly the work of the FSB, as I have noted in a couple of articles and in the manuscript I just sent you.

Adomanis has done at least two interviews with them; they asked very intelligent questions:

Thanks for manuscript.  I picked up a copy of Neuromancer in Chicago yesterday, so now I have two books to read down in the boonies.  I also want to start writing out detailed functional requirements for the widgets.  Any DFRs written by me will be crude, but they will be something for programmers to jump on and start fixing, so the idea is to provoke someone into writing good ones. Condo cleaned out, now I am headed downstate, they deliver the furniture and all tomorrow.

I think you are right, AS will join up.

Wrote him last night to send him along the final cut of manuscript which I just received from publisher and have attached here. Discussed Project PM with him a bit. Says he'll read manuscript over his upcoming vacation and asked me if I ever get over to D.C. or Provincetown. I'm guessing we'll have him on board soon.
