Hi Anna,From: Cara Parks <cara@huffingtonpost.com>Date: July 2, 2010 9:06:00 AM CDTTo: Anna Clark <anna@earthpeopleco.com>Subject: Re: Just curious...Mostly what we're looking for is strong writing and a unique take on a newsworthy topic. We have a quick reaction time to mostly national news and are looking for bloggers who can provide insights or expertise that others could not. We also have a number of different verticals, so a contributor to say, the Food page, which has fewer bloggers, would probably get more traction than a politics blogger, a very well-populated blogging page. That might be a bit vague, so if you have follow up questions please let me know, and please feel free to pitch additional bloggers in the future Thanks!Best,CaraOn Fri, Jul 2, 2010 at 4:02 AM, Anna Clark <anna@earthpeopleco.com> wrote:
Hi Cara,I can't resist asking again what criteria Huffington Post uses to select bloggers. I run a PR and consulting firm called EarthPeople. I'm interested in helping my clients (and myself!) build a platform for thought leadership.I noticed that some of your contributors are people I've featured in my book. Jean-Charles Boisset, for example. I visited his vineyard in Sonoma to cover sustainable winemaking. I'm glad to see him contributing.I sincerely appreciate ANY pointers you can give me. Thanks in advance for your time.Anna**********Anna ClarkAuthor of Green, American StyleEarthPeople, LLCDirect: 214.597.0367Toll-Free: 1.800.597.6892Visit us online at:P Please consider the environment before printing this e-mail
