Sorry for my e-mail backlog; I just arrived in East Texas and will be getting all my notes organized this weekend, post that video I promised, etc.

OK, happy flyin'
Today, I have been trying to figure out where we go for planning and documentation after the group blog, which is not going to suffice for very long. Tim Ellis set up a demo of activecollab, which I would describe as an enterprise management program, and does a variety of useful things, but requires money and a server. There are similar programs that are open source , but they mostly require a server, so then I wondered what Google has in this area and I immediately see that instead of setting up the blog I should have gone to Google Groups where they have a sort of wiki template which would have worked better than the 100-author blog. Also, I am interested in Google Wave, which is like e-mail, but instead of messages and replies and forwardings going hither and yon, there is just one message and everybody goes to that and adds their pieces of communication, so it has the immediacy and personal connectedness of e-mail but the dispersed communications do not get lost.
Also thinking that I should attempt to set up Felipe, Campbell, and Justin as the Africa Project 'Steering Committee' since triumvirates may work together well. The term steering committee sticks in my throat but what's a better name for it?

I can't remember who that was, but when I get down to Texas (flying tomorrow) I'll look through my e-mail archives again anyway as I know that I missed a couple of people who'd gotten in touch for more info and will send them out an e-mail and also make sure our spreadsheet is complete.

There's also a row on the spreadsheet that just says "eric" with no other information, although there is an unrelated and incomplete e-mail address at the right end of the first row "theallmightyeric@gn____ " ??
This is not Erik Kain, who's been duly invited.
