Sounds really interesting....I'd definitely love to hear more. Maybe we could chat via phone when I get back? I'll be back in the states on the 6 or 7 (depending on if I make my connections returning).

Hey, not sure if I mentioned Project PM, but it's a sort of experimental entity I've created with the intention of working for media reform and other causes by way of new methods take advantage of the potential inherent to the internet. Our first sub-project is the Africa Development Program, on which I have about a dozen people collaborating in order to determine the most efficient and useful manner by which to prompt sustainable development in sub-Sahara. Right now I've got a retired lawyer heading up the program, as well as a patent lawyer who's applying accessible but little-known technological innovations to various problems, a Harvard/MIT/Kepler University mathematician who can help with applied inquiries into distribution and such things, a former hedge fund employee to oversee investments, and several other specialists as well. Perhaps you could let me know if you learn anything useful about other assistance programs or whatever else might be helpful to us in the planning process.

I'd also love to have you involved with the project itself or just as a member of our legislative network; neither would require any time commitment from you whatsoever but would on the other hand allow you to influence our direction and assist in what we expect will be a somewhat revolutionary organization that's designed to grow perpetually and uses several techniques that I have designed in order to take best advantage of the environment that now exists in terms of human collaboration by way of the internet. We've also got a good media crew including Newsweek's former Baghdad correspondent Michael Hastings and bloggers like Allison Kilkenny and Charles Johnson (the latter was among the top conservative bloggers, took down Dan Rather, switched sides a couple years back). Let me know if you'd like to take a look at what we're doing.

FYI. Very bizarre email. What was the sex scandal sophomore year?! I don't remember that at all! And yes definitely remember you leaving for TZ. At the time I think I didn't even know where that was...true, but scary story. I spent some time in Arusha and in the Ngorongoro crater when I was in college. Excited to be heading back. I'll be in Dar, Arusha, and then out in the west near the Congolese border in a refugee camp. Thx again...and how funny was Ash's comment? I totally remember when we all went to EZ's on a double date and had milkshakes...awesome. Those were the days :) ha ha.
