Dear Coates,
This letter comes to you via encouragement by a Mr Barrett Brown and my fascination with True Slant. Essentially I am intrigued by your journal and find the work very compelling and exceptionally well written. Seeing that I my myself an outspoken writer and provocateur I would be intrigued about the possibilities of perhaps writing the odd clever, perceptive article for your journal or even cross linking some of our articles with yours. By that, I mean, I run a very well received tabloid/cultural journal that offers pithy social commentary as well as being a vehicle for aesthetes, cultural arbiters and the occasional no gooder that I think ought to get some focus.
At the moment our site - Scallywag and Vagabond pulls in about 150 000 page views a month, this after being around for just over a year. Apart from having a reputation as an aesthete I also have a reputation as a social terrorist, where if I find some gimmickry or faux pas in your line of thought I will cleverly expose you, with neatly piled vials of your blood around the living room.
Prior to my foray as a publisher I was a successful Wall st derivatives trader (before I pissed off my Swiss employers) and produced playwright. That said please consider my entreaties and the evidence I present below- it seems I have made quite a commotion already this year, and frankly I'm just getting going.
Scallywag and Vagabond: a dissection of pop culture, a platform for the avant-garde, an offering from the arbiters of taste and probing interviews. Imagine; a fusion of editorials from the New Yorker meets the savagery of Gawker with the allure of Vanity Fair.
