I hope your publicist is on the case getting you on TV! Your book is out this month, correct? This is the opportune time, with the Confederacy nonsense in the news in Virginia and Mississippi. I realize it's only one chapter of your book, but it gets your entire book coverage.
So ask Nell Painter, contact Ben Jealous, head of the NAACP (he was also on Colbert and Maher), through his wife Lia Epperson-Jealous, to see how they can get you on Colbert. Be unpleasant if necessary---Ben and Lia should be embarrassed over their role in what happened to me; you have my permission to use whatever harsh methods you deem fit. The fact you're a white Southerner might even convince Jealous to make you the NAACP's representative on TV to discuss these issues.
