Sirs-
This is Barrett Brown; I write for Vanity Fair, The Huffington Post, The New York Observer, Skeptic, The Skeptical Inquirer, True/Slant, and other publications and am the instigator of the soon-to-be-launched Project PM and the author of two books of political commentary, one of which will be released next month. I'm a great admirer of your organization and was the first mainstream journalist (and among the first of bloggers as well) to cover your staff's recent run-ins with U.S. and Icelandic authorities, which I wrote about for True/Slant, Huffington Post, and Daily Kos. I also followed up with additional articles in order to better explain to readers why it is that Wikileaks is among the most significant institution in the world today, as of course various governments are very concerned about losing their centrality in terms of what information is available to the public, and Wikileaks working in conjunction with Iceland and its proposed info-haven status could ensure that the situation remains at is in terms of freedom of information flow.
I would greatly appreciate an e-mail interview with some of your principles, and would be able to maximize the effect of such an interview by way of one article for one of the big U.S. magazines and others for True Slant, Huffington Post, and others that allow reprinting of articles. I'd also be able to raise awareness of Wikileaks and why it merits attention and donations by way of my Project PM network, which is launching this summer and will perhaps interest you as it is intended to do some of what you are helping to do in terms of the manner in which information flows.
Please get back to me if you have a moment.
