Great idea, thanks. I'm actually planning on getting back into fiction in a couple of months, might use this as a short story. But I've got another fiction project in mind that I could use your help on. Was thinking the other day about that idea you had for a book called "Good Man Noelle!" about our Africa disaster as told from Noelle's point of view. I'm 100 percent sure that I'm going to do that as a novella of about 130 pages, already did a couple very short articles on it when I was 18, 19. But I only remember so much and wasn't around for everything. Could you do me a big favor? Start a document and write down various incidents you remember from Tanzania, as well as background info on people like Steve and everyone else. Everything you can remember, no matter how obscure; little details and everything. That would be extraordinarily helpful, as I really want to do that book but I only remember so much. Even little conversations you may remember, dialog, that would really help me to actually have info, details for a novella. You could start a gmail account real quick and open up a Google document and give me access to it so I could add to it directly and remark on certain aspects and we could jog each other's memory. Actually, I could probably incorporate your hick/pashtun idea into this novella, maybe have that Grant guy be the rednek listening to O'Reilly or someone on the radio; would be appropriate insomuch as that we had the attack on the Dar embassy as well as.our retaliatory cruise missile strikes that killed civilians. The whole trip was just perfect for a story.

I've been planning on doing this for a while but just didn't feel ready, but now I do. Let me know what you think.

Idea for a story.

Compare redneck somewhere in mid america, getting pumped up and redfaced from watching FoxNews vs. A pashtun tribesman in a mosque somewhere in the Afg/Pak border region doing the same thing after hearing a Taliban/Queda/militant preacher denounce infidels..

Probably make a good short story also.
