Alistair-

Thanks for the info; I've forwarded this to Stein as well.

Also, would you be interested in serving as a member of the legislative network, similar in operation to the blogger network, that will be responsible for incubating and deciding upon new ideas by which to advance the project? Joining entails absolutely no commitment or requirement on your part; you'll simply have the option of proposing ideas and "voting" on them. I'd like to have a couple of programmers on this council insomuch as that technological aspects already play a large role in the project and will continue to do so as we implement various new features. Let me know what you think.

Hi Barret,

Answering your earlier questions-

Strong on Javascript / HTML / CSS (The last 3 years professionally including 2 years on complex AJAX web applications)
Strong on Python (hobby)
Strong on interface design (training, some professional usability testing conducted)

Reasonable at PHP, Java, MySQL.

Personally I would prefer to help by picking up ad-hoc web development tasks, so I can fit them in around my day job etc.

Thanks
Alistair

Hi, Alistair-

I gave Andrew Stein your information; he'll be in touch at some point in the near future. Thanks again for getting involved.

Thanks for getting in touch, and apologies for the delay; I've been unusually busy today.

I've gone ahead and posted some info on Project PM and will be posting further info soon.

Let me know if you have any questions or comments in the meantime. I'm meeting with our main tech guy on Saturday and will have him figure out how volunteer programmers can best contribute; would you mind sending along some specifics regarding your languages of proficiency, etc.?

Thanks,

Hi,

I am a skilled web developer, and javascript ninja in particular, as well as a sometime left-libertarian political activist. I share your belief in the theory that greater information flow is inherently democratising. I am, potentially, interested in your project.

Thanks
