Just had a two hour phone conversation with Hastings about a number of issues; he's very impressed with Project PM and has agreed to get involved, and I've told him the true nature of our long-term plans regarding the establishment of an erudite global cartel. He can also help me get gigs with GQ and some other pubs. We're going to meet up before he goes to Afghanistan next month. He says he's a big fan of my work and has read a lot of my recent posts about media and information theory. I'll going to put him as second-in-command for the time being. Another interesting thing - he wrote for Newsweek for six years, and when he left he wrote a scathing article about their failure (similar to other outlets) to really do what they could to best convey important information to their readers. Also has a new novel out. Sending him my manuscript now for him to blurb.
