Yeah, wasn't even sure if this is one of those things that I should bother refuting, even with tongue-in-cheek; had decided to go ahead and make fun of him but now United Russia has organized the biggest anti-Putin protests that I can remember so going to write about instead (and the manner in which the flawed U.S. media failed to recognize him for what he was early on, much less give his crimes the attention one might think is warranted).
I've had more than a dozen people, non-bloggers of varying backgrounds, write in over the past two days to commit to assisting Project PM. I think I mentioned that I'll be forming a secondary network to serve as a sort of incubator for ideas on how to advance the project as well as to take various actions in pursuance of that.
Also, my old friend just took a job as a producer at an NBC affiliate in East Texas. The newsroom is a hotbed of lunacy. About twenty minutes ago, the guy in charge of their website just sent the following link from their site to everyone:
... approvingly noting that it got well over a hundred comments in some short amount of time. Appears that there's Notice how the text of the story is written in such a way as to imply that, no, it's not just "conservatist [sic] propganda [sic]." Also notice how even the fucking headline uses the word "propoganda," which is at least a good try.
Earlier this morning, a reporter at that station sent the following e-mail to everyone in the newsroom:
"did you hear about obama's new mcdonalds value meal on the menu?
you order whatever you like off of it and the guy behind you has to pay for it ; )"
My friend just started working there like two weeks ago. I can't wait to see what pops up next. Obviously, they don't know that my friend is non-insane and is planning on keeping me informed of what's going on there. When something big comes up, I'll give it to you in order to better hide the leak.
