Uh, apparently I'm also going to be going on a date paid for by the New York Post for their weekly dating column in which readers vote on which of three girls I should go out with. So, yeah. I'll be doing that, too.

Good deal. Congrats again. Hope they keep you on as permanent staff.

Not yet, just writing for website and they're preparing for a revamp at the moment so they're only assigning their core stuff at the moment, arts and entertainment. I'm reviewing an upcoming documentary on William Burroughs that this filmmaker's been hounding me about, but he's also getting me an interview with Peter Wellers (ROBOCOP LOL) and Sonic Youth, as they appear in the doc. Will be querying the print editors about politics a bit later on. Will let you know what I find out about their needs along those lines.

Congratulations, man. Well deserved. Are you specifically politics for RS?

So, I figured out why that piece on you guys never ran - they were shutting down the NYC Onion apparatus. That's okay, because as of this week I'm now writing for Rolling Stone, so can perhaps get the piece ran there. At any rate, I can get something placed somewhere big sometime in the next couple of months or sooner; will keep you updated.

Hi everybody,

Apologies if you receive this more than once, but today is my last day as city editor of The A.V. Club in New York. The New York website is being shut down, the city section in the paper is being cut significantly, and I am moving on.

I look forward to working on different projects and writing more—likely lots more than I have been able to in a while—so I hope you will add my new e-mail address and phone number to your contact list:

(917) 497-5741

I will have a new mailing address in Brooklyn starting March 15, so I can forward that as soon as it's active.

Questions regarding The A.V. Club can be directed to Kyle Ryan in Chicago: kryan@theonion.com.

Otherwise, I look forward to working with you from a new vantage.

Best,

Andy Battaglia
