I know you're swamped for now, but was wondering if you'd be up for a non-political piece for next month, perhaps? I've just wrangled an interview with Peter Weller (Naked Lunch, Robocop series, Star Trek and similar sci-fi shows, 24, won an Academy in 1993 for the short film Partners that he directed), who's appearing prominently in an upcoming documentary on William S. Burroughs by filmmaker Yony Leyser, who sent me a review copy the other day. The film also includes interviews with John Waters, Iggy Pop, a few non-dead Sex Pistols, and other interesting folks. Let me know if you'd be interested in a piece on the documentary, either focusing on Burroughs or Weller. The latter is a pretty interesting guy; is an adjunct faculty member at Syracuse and a grad student at UCLA specializing in the Italian Renaissance, currently does a number of programs for the History Channel. At any rate, this is the only real documentary that's ever been done on Burroughs, and I happen to know quite a bit about the old fellow.
