Hi Barrett!

I contacted you a while ago about my travel zine asking people where
they were going and traveling. I'm still working on that, trying to
get artists to submit artwork for it so I can finally print it and
move on to other zines and my novel. In the meantime, I have a book
coming out next month though from a small press out of Astoria called
Knickerbocker Circus (http://www.knickerbockercircus.com), entitled
"The Silk City Series." It's a short story collection that pulls
readers into the everyday lives of working-class residents of
Paterson, New Jersey, a small post-industrial city very similar to
Bushwick in terms of population and landscape. Since I always enjoyed
your column, I was hoping you'd be up for reading it and letting me
know what you think. It's not very long, around 100 pages. Since it's
such a small press putting it out (it being my debut book) I am dying
for exposure and publicity and would love your help. I attached the
book and my press release, both in pdf form. Thanks in advance for
reading and I hope your move to Williamsburg goes well!

best,

Eric Nelson
