Just over to Williamsburg near Union and Lorimer and all that. Here are a couple of questions to start out with, and then I'll have a couple of follow-ups as soon as I get the responses back from you:

1. What would you say is the most important or effective program that you operate?

2. What's the most useful piece of information regarding parenting of which your clients tend not to be aware?

3. If someone knows a family that might benefit from IMPACT, what's the best way to encourage the parents to approach the organization for help?

Also, I wanted to ask you if you know how I might go about volunteering to give lectures to school classes or otherwise provide informal teaching/training to young people in Brooklyn, anywhere from elementary to college level. I gave my first university lecture a few weeks ago at Rutgers and really enjoyed it, and I've been meaning to do some volunteer work as I'm only able to provide a small amount of money to my favorite charity each month. I'm aware of your Artists and Authors program and would be happy to participate if you guys would like to have me come in, but I'd like to do some sort of lecturing in addition to that. If you know someone who might have any use for me, here are my qualifications (and I'm also 28 and even younger at heart and otherwise good with kids, being immature and into video games and unwilling to clean up after myself):

I'm a regular contributor to Vanity Fair, The Huffington Post, Skeptic, and True/Slant, and my other work has appeared in dozens of publications including The Onion A.V. Club, National Lampoon, Cracked, as well as public policy journals and news outlets in the U.S., U.K., and Mexico. I'm the author of Flock of Dodos: Behind Modern Creationism, Intelligent Design, and the Easter Bunny, which was released in 2007 and was compared to the work of Mark Twain and Thomas Paine by Alan Dershowitz of Harvard Law School; my second book will be released this coming April. I currently serve as director of communications for Enlighten the Vote, a political action committee that advocates for the Establishment Clause of the First Amendment, and have appeared on national television on the organization's behalf.

I'm particularly interested in trying to get Brooklyn teenagers and pre-teens interested in history as well as current events, as well as to pursue writing at least as a hobby/interest in order to complement their general skill sets and improve their critical thinking skills. I've done a little bit of research into trying to sign up for such a program but haven't been able to locate anything like that; perhaps you know of something?

Thanks,
