Also, I'm assuming you've got a printer at the office? If so, maybe you could bring my notes with me in hard copy after I finish compiling them tomorrow. On Sun, Jan 10, 2010 at 2:24 PM, Barrett Brown <barriticus@gmail.com> wrote:

Do you want to meet in Hoboken then and catch a ride with Robert Lynch with me?

Sure. The class starts at 9 am and goes to 12 but I need to figure out exactly when he would want me to go on; I think they're starting with an hour of discussion on Ken Miller's book. Were you planning on driving?

I'll be taking subway to Hoboken and the professor will pick me up there, then drop me back off when we're done.

Tuesday morning. I'm thinking I'll look into getting on call for future lectures as well at other universities. They're even paying me a hundred bucks. 45 minutes, then question-and-answer. Also been asked to write a piece for Vanity Fair on myself and Charles Johnson and our little crusade against Robert Stacy McCain, among other things; should appear on the website within two weeks, will have a link to the Amazon page for Hot, Fat, Clouded. Incidentally, Johnson's going to be a great help in promoting the book; he's been profiled in LA Times and NYT within the last two months, got attacked by Glenn Beck again a couple days back, and is otherwise fairly prominent. We've become close lately, strangely enough, and he links to a lot of my stuff.

Also, I've just been invited to give a lecture to a class on evolution and religion at Rutgers; the professor wants me to talk about Dodos as well as a few other themes related to the book. Will have it recorded and put it on YouTube, at least.
Are you out of town?

Got a piece on Krauthammer up on Huffington Post, True/Slant, and Scallywag and Vagabond up today with a mention and link to the Amazon pre-order page; should be able to do something along these lines a couple times a month. Saving longer excerpts for when the book is actually out, though it looks like I'll have one from the Bennett chapter in the next issue of Skeptic, which should come out in March/April or thereabouts and which is kind of my core fan base already. Also about to be doing a big campaign for the Enlighten the Vote PAC that will probably result in me doing some more TV ala my Fox appearance last year, so that should be helpful. Got a few other tricks up my sleeve as well.
