Hi Stuart,
I intend to have the script to you come Monday. Thank you for your patience. I have had to pick up a lot of the slack of writing for the magazine as most of my writers have left town for the Christmas holidays including my graphics guy which has forced me to spend many hours in the physical labor intensive procurement of articles for the Scallywag and Vagabond site. (so much for holidays...)
As for a premise here goes;
The screenplay is a psycho thriller that concentrates on the dual life of Brian - the protagonist and his antagonistic side Bartholemew set in modern day New York City. In his efforts to come to a validation of his life Brian seeks to address those things that have hindered him in attaining personal redemption and love. The only catch as he sets out from his surreal closed world which he frames in terms of a make believe reality show that he is always filming his room mate Bartholomew is equally set in getting the attention and demands he wants. Of course what the audience nor what Brian realize is that the room mate played by another actor is actually the personification of his antagonistic side. It isn't until a series of complicitous events that the audience along with Brian begin to realize that something is terribly askew and the make believe reality show serves to reveal who Bart really is and who is actually responsible for the unfolding disarray and what Brian must do to finally redeem himself.
The subplot involves a weaving of Brian's childhood which continues to haunt him and serves to roadblock his advance as well that of April the subject of his unrequited love and focus on his make believe reality show. Her story parallels that of Brians and she too must come to a realization that her entire universe is a manufactured fantasy that leads to drastic consequences, consequences procured by the antagonistic character of Bartholomew who really happens to be Brian's alter ego.
Will Brian finally set himself free of his torment, validate himself and ultimately find love?
-kindest regards,
Christopher.
Once again Stuart thank you for your patience, and all the best in 2010 and I do look very much forward in getting you that dynamic script and working alongside with you on other projects. I also would like to at the same time introduce to you my roommate- Barrett Brown- Scallywag and Vagabond writer (as well as for other journals including Vanity Fair, True Slant, Huffington Post and other journals) and who is set realize his second published book in the new year. I think he too could be a wonderful asset to 'Now' management and production company.
That said thanks once again for your patience and I do look forward to knocking your socks off!
Just wanted to check in with you to see how the script is coming along? In the meantime, can you email 1 or 2 paragraphs that lays out the premise, story?

Stuart,
I've had a few big deals to work out with the magazine that have been
completely consuming. Please be patient with me and I will get u a
cranking script, I imagine by over the weekend the latest.
Scallywag and Vagabond: a dissection of pop culture, a platform for the avant-garde, an offering from the arbiters of taste and probing interviews. Imagine; a fusion of editorials from the New Yorker meets the savagery of Gawker with the allure of Vanity Fair.
