I think I'm falling for this girl. Her name is Catalina. Our romance has been extraordinarily debauched. I got rid of the other girlfriend by making out with this one in front of her. She constantly gets drunk and passes out partly just out of total disregard for social convention, which is fascinating to me. I'm telling you because I don't know anyone else who is in love, it occurs to me, and at any rate I know you enjoy amusing, nonsensical anecdotes.

Did you guys happen to see that Charles Johnson, the friend of mine who was the darling of the conservative blogosphere back in the day, formally broke with the conservative movement last night?

Caused kind of a kerfluffle. At any rate, I mentioned to him last week that I might possibly be writing for a pilot (without giving any details or your names or anything), and he offered to assist with that and whatever series into whichh it develops in any capacity we'd like. There's a NYT profile on him coming out this Sunday, I believe. He could be very useful, even just insomuch as that it would be rather attention-grabbing to have him working directly with progressives. Give it some thought; it would be worth mentioning him to any execs you encounter - adds value to the product, as they say in publishing.

Incidentally, I'm chewing khat.

Yeah, that second one will work; I'll just shorten it a bit. Thanks.

What about either of these

I'm waiting for us to go all in with the war and combine our foreign
policy with our glutenous capitalism and start shipping McDonald's
over to Iraq. You could call it "operation kill the terrorists
slowly". "Hey how'd they finally get Bin Ladon?" "Diabetes."

Or People aren't criticizing Obama because our last President was so
bad. It's kinda like we just got out of an abusive relationship, where
our last boyfriend was so batshit crazy anything the new guy does is
amazing by comparison. "How's the new boyfriend?" Well he doesn't
water board me. "Hm put a ring on that finger girlfriend!"
