About both of you, although slightly more about Allie as I want to focus on the degeneracy of the old guard pundits and how fine it is that a writer can now bypass the media infrastructure, go straight to the reader, and then build up enough of an audience to eventually become mainstream. The failures of the Pulitzer-winning douchebags like Friedman and Krauthammer and the hope represented by youngish bloggers who come out of nowhere and earn their readership by way of talent and/or actually wanting to get the story right instead of just framing it in a cute way (Friedman is the biggest culprit when it comes to framing a story just for the sake of framing it) is a big thing with me (it's the point of my second book and my whole true/slant column, for instance).
