Good good. I feel like it is helpful to call into question as many aspects as to make sure all Choices are considered and most effective....afterall
It is in the service of the public.

The "old school" line is intended as part of a larger campaign to indicate that our PAC is more in line with the intent of this nation and its constitution than are even mainstream figures like Bush sr.; I'm trying to downplay the atheism thing in favor of constitutionalism, adherence to the enlightenment, etc. But perhaps this could be expressed in a better way.

Using effective imagery is a consideration.
Out of 100 people, how many will recognize thomas pain as thonas pain...althought people will get that he LOOKs like a6ounding father...that's prob as far as it will go. Unless preaching to the choir is the aim.
We're old school are you?
Also may be a bit jarring as a closing statemnt and picking something more Specific could be consideredDate: Mon, 16 Nov 2009 12:59:51 -0500Subject: Re: videoVery good. I'll rewrite it a bit to remove those parts. You are correct about the bushes and broken iron detector; I believe I was on hard drugs at the time and thus my own self-criticism alarm was broken. Will get you revised version later today. Also, maybe Thomas Paine shouldn't even wink at all; could be a little much.

As far as what I think.. About the script, I think its mostly effective. I'm not sure if you want opinions about the script or not but I
I don't like the line about the iron detector bequeathed to his son. Or the part about the dvd recorder instructions. I fint them to be distracting and coming from an "unknown" peanut gallery.
I also feel iffy about going into the saudi monarch stuff.
I feel like embelishing too much about the bushes almost makes the psa seem out dated, I think it should focus on why this is relavant now without focusing on the bushes as a reason why its a problem

Okay, she wants to do it. Here's that script I did a while ago. Let me know what you think.

Yeah, it's a Flip. I'm going to buy one for myself as soon as I have some extra funds. It's fucking amazing.
I just e-mailed Johnson to see if she can authorize the payment to you for this script. I'll dig it up out of my docs later today and send it along. On Sun, Nov 15, 2009 at 12:38 PM, Ava K. Lamb <tooth.radish.ava.stove@gmail.com> wrote:Thanks,
I appreciate you taking my advice on that. If you're doing a series then consistency is important and it is seriously frustrating to not see peoples faces. When you cant even see who's getting slapped, the slapping lacks effect...and strangers wont know about the supreme vindication so it is no compensation for us.
I have one of those cameras too, is it the flip video? i really enjoy it, it is very handy.
Talk to you soon

Was actually planning on using this as a segment of what would be a ten-minute program and perhaps using it for a later show. But you're right, the quality is rather atrocious. I'll scrap this, then; we've got plenty of other segments planned anyway. Mostly we just did this on the spur of the moment because Straub really does owe the guy money, and letting him slap Straub in fronenglisht of the other Puerto Rican gangsters allowed the guy to gain much-needed status and now he doesn't even care about the money. Maybe I can do something with a portion of the footage later on, though.
In the meantime, a friend has lent me one of these awesome little cameras, about the size of a cell phone, that can record an hour of HD footage with really high quality audio to boot. Got some fairly high-concept skits written and will film soon. Probably won't use them for BushwickBK, though.
I'm going to ask Ellen Johnson of my PAC about the 30-second spot I wanted you to do and see if she can authorize the payment to you for doing that. Will get back to you on that soon.On Sun, Nov 15, 2009 at 12:17 PM, Ava K. Lamb <tooth.radish.ava.stove@gmail.com> wrote:I need it on a site where i can download the file.

I know you really like this video, but i feel like i should express my concern that the quality is so bad, if it were my video ... i would scrap it and just call it a trial.
people are used to better quality than this and the sound is so bad, yes, caption can be done but...if i were you i would just do it over....I also think that if this is your first show there should be more intro. Because you get it, it may still play for you with this quality, but i think for outsiders it wont play as well. It is human to want to SEE faces and faces here are not readable. thats the major issue.
perhaps you plan on doing that .
Anyway, if you are sure you want to go with it...it would not take long and i will cut it down for you... you have to put it in file sharing.
thanks
