Frank Dobson is reported as saying (in The Tennessean) the following: "Frank Dobson, director of the Bishop Joseph Johnson Black Cultural Center at Vanderbilt, said he understands the concerns of those who find the word offensive."
Note that he is not saying that HE finds the Confederacy offensive. This is surely not a great advocate for the cause.
